Dammika Wijesekera is a Certified Practising Accountant and CPA Practising Certificate holder with CPA Australia, a registered Tax Agent, and a CA Sri Lanka member.
Dammika Wijesekera is the founder of Serendib Accountants and has 26 years of experience in the accounting profession. Dammika began her career in accounting and auditing with Wijyaratna & Co., one of the leading audit firms in Sri Lanka, before joining the National Development Bank as an accountant.
Dammika later established an audit practice in Sri Lanka in 2000 and continued that practice for six years. After moving to Australia, Dammika started a bookkeeping business and continued to build accounting, taxation and professional practice experience. In 2013, Dammika established Serendib Accountants as a tax practice and Certified Practising Accountant practice.
While managing the tax practice, Dammika also acquired Serendib Financial Services, an AUSTRAC registered remittance provider with 26 years of history in Australia. This background gives Serendib Accountants practical insight into accounting, taxation, compliance administration and the needs of business owners.
